Marine-2 7x50 IC binoculars are designed and manufactured to meet the toughest performance criteria demanded by the enthusiast. Used by the ORCA Survey teams to locate, identify and track whales and dolphins the binocular uses extra-large prisms and anti-reflective multi-coatings to maximise field of view, resolution and light transmission needed for accurate observation at distance. Combined with long eye relief eyepieces for glasses wearers and large depth of field, they provide the best chances for stable, comfortable viewing under continuous motion when observing from the deck of a ship.
For surveyors, the instrument is fitted with an illuminated compass with distance scale projected into the left hand eyepiece. Fully nitrogen gas filled waterproof, the Marine-2 7x50 BIF.GA / IC is protected from knocks and bumps with specially mounted prism assemblies, strong single die-cast aluminium bodies and durable thick rubber armouring.
